The microblading technique is also known by a variety of other names: 3D eyebrows, eyebrow tattoo, eyebrow threading, eyebrow embroidery, eyebrow feathering and eyebrow micropigmentation.
This form of permanent cosmetics or permanent make-up, is more of a semi-permanent tattoo. It will fade over time and require a touch-up to maintain its colour.
Before the microblading begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to the area, followed by a liquid anesthetic, to minimize any discomfort. Microblading is perfect for clients who want to fill in sparse eyebrows, reconstruct their eyebrows, define them and cut down time spent on makeup.
The process begins with determining the desired shape of the eyebrow. The colour choice is specific to each client and is mixed to achieve a natural colour that complements hair and skin tone.
A touch-up is required after four weeks to ensure the client is happy with the result. The effect of microblading can last one to three years. A touchup will also fill small gaps and possibly darken eyebrows if needed.
